Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. — Gal 6:9 BSB
If Paul could only know the comfort and hope he has brought to countless generations of believers who have walked the path from the cross to the Kingdom, he would surely be willing to go through a thousand more lives and endure a thousand more deaths like the one he suffered outside the walls of Rome. He would count every trial as nothing for the blessing that has followed since his noble head was laid down in martyrdom.
And if the least of us could only glimpse the eternal consequences that may come from our smallest acts of faith, we would consider our sacrifices and labors as incredible opportunities of honor. We would no longer speak of our trials or hardships as if they were burdens, but as glorious chances to serve God.
The smallest seed of faith is like an indestructible, incorruptible seed that will one day plant the heavens and cover the earth with an everlasting harvest of glory. So lift up your head, beloved, for the horizon stretches far beyond what you can now see. We are living, suffering, laboring, and trusting for ages yet to come!
