To the tribe of Levi, however, Moses had given no inheritance. The LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, just as He had promised them. — Josh 13:33 BSB
This is significant. God gave the land to the other tribes, but He gave Himself to the Levites. In the Christian life, there is an inheritance from the Lord, and there is also the experience of having the Lord Himself as our inheritance.
Some receive sanctification from the Lord, which is valuable but often changeable and fleeting. Others have learned the deeper lesson of taking the Lord Himself as their sanctifier and keeper, and in abiding in Him, they rise above the ups and downs of their own emotions and circumstances.
Some receive from the Lord times of joy and blessing, seasons of refreshing.
Others, however, have discovered the secret of taking the Lord Himself as their joy.
Some are satisfied with having peace with God, while others experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
Some people trust in God, while others experience the very faith of God. Some receive healing touches from God, but others live in the sustaining health of God Himself.
