Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; all that is within me, bless His holy name. — Ps 103:1 BSB
Bless the Lord, O my soul; let everything within me rise up to magnify His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: He forgives all your sins, heals all your diseases, redeems your life from destruction, crowns you with love and mercy, and satisfies you with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Who can sing this song of thanksgiving better than we, as we rejoice in this full salvation, praising God for the glorious health and continuous renewal we have in our risen Lord?
This psalm, with its opening verses, is at the very center of the Bible. Let it be the center of our lives as we look back in gratitude, forward in hope, and upward in praise, echoing the psalm’s final words: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Lord, center my heart in You and in the spirit of love and praise.
