So you too must count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. — Rom 6:11 BSB

Death is but for a moment. Life is forever. Live, then, children of the resurrection, on His glorious life, more abundantly. The fullness of His life will drive out self and sin, overcome evil with good, and transform your existence from one of repression to the spontaneous flow of Christ’s overcoming life.

Once in a religious meeting, a dear brother gave a thrilling talk on the risen life. Then another brother followed with a long message about the necessity of self-crucifixion. A cold, uncomfortable mood settled over the room. A good sister finally summed it up: "Pastor S. took us out of the grave with his message, and Pastor P. just put us back in."

Don’t go back into the grave once you’ve come out! Live like Him, who was dead but is alive forevermore and holds the keys of hell and death. Stay out of the tomb, and keep the keys in His risen hands.
