Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. — Phil 4:6 BSB
The word "commit" means to hand over, to trust entirely to another. When we give our trials to God, He will carry them. If we walk in righteousness, He will carry us through. "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time." There are two hands at work here—God’s hand humbling us, and God’s hand lifting us up. "Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." There are two kinds of care in this verse—your anxious care and His Almighty care. Cast your anxious care on Him, and in return, receive His powerful, caring hand to sustain you. Stop worrying about troubles, and trust that He is able to carry you through them. The government rests on His shoulders, not ours. If you trust and obey Him, He will take care of your interests. Exchange your burdens for His, and take His yoke upon you, for He cares for you.
