I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus. — Phil 3:14 BSB

We often think about what we have received from God. But let’s also consider what we haven’t yet received—some areas of our lives that have not yet been filled with His Spirit, some parts that He has not yet fully possessed or marked with His glory and presence.

Will the coming months be marked by a diligent, heart-searching application of His anointing oil to these unoccupied areas of our lives and service?

Have we known the fullness of His grace in our spiritual life? Have we experienced a glimpse of His glory? Have we believed His promises for our mind, soul, and spirit? Have we tested His possibilities for our body? Have we experienced His power in controlling the events of life and moving the hearts of people? Has He opened the treasure-house of heaven and met our financial needs as He could? Have we even begun to understand the ministry of prayer as He desires?

God, give us the rest of the oil!
