no evil will befall you, no plague will approach your tent. — Ps 91:10 BSB

We know what it means to be fireproof or waterproof, but it is even more significant to be proof against sin. It is possible to be so filled with the Spirit and the presence of Jesus that all the enemy’s attacks bounce off our heavenly armor. The thorns and burrs along the path won’t stick to our heavenly robes, and the noxious vapors of sin will dissipate before the warmth of the Holy Spirit. We can walk in victory even through the valley of the shadow of death.

Just as red-hot iron repels water and the touch of human fingers, so when we are on fire with the Holy Spirit, Satan will keep his hands off us. The cold water he tries to pour over us will roll off, leaving us unharmed. "He who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot touch them."

It is said that before going into a malarial region, it’s wise to fortify the body with nourishing food. In the same way, we must be spiritually nourished and filled with the life of Christ, so that the evil around us doesn’t penetrate our lives.
