I belong to my beloved and he belongs to me; he pastures his flock among the lilies. — Song 6:3 BSB
If I belong to the Lord, then the Lord belongs to me. If Christ claims me, I can claim Him. Faith must reach out to claim its full inheritance and begin to use its great resources. Moment by moment, we can now take Christ as our grace, strength, faith, love, victory, and joy—our all in all. As we claim Him, we find His grace sufficient, learning that giving all to Him is truly receiving all. Consecration means receiving Him fully in place of our own miserable life. There are two sides to consecration: ours and Christ’s. Jesus said, “For their sake, I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” When we consecrate ourselves to Him, He consecrates Himself to us, dedicating His life, love, and power to complete our consecration and make the most of our lives. Who wouldn’t give themselves to such a Savior? Let’s give ourselves to Him today, offering each moment as it comes, to be filled and used.
