It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. — 1 Cor 1:30 BSB
More and more, we are realizing the supreme importance of understanding sanctification—not as a blessing, but as a personal union with the living Savior and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Many people embark on the journey of holiness, only to find themselves failing and falling. They become confused and disheartened, concluding they must have been mistaken in their experience. They make another attempt and fall again, and after repeated failures, they eventually give up, believing the experience was either a delusion or never intended for them.
What people need today to satisfy their deep spiritual hunger and to experience lasting transformation is not to pursue sanctification as a state but to know Christ as a living person, who is waiting to dwell in the heart that is willing to receive Him.
