April 5

Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand. — Dan 12:10 BSB

This is the promise for the Lord's coming. It's more than just being purified; it's about being made white, radiant, and bright. To be purified is to have sin burned away, but to be made white is to have the glory of the Lord burned in. One is cleansing; the other is illumination and glorification. The Lord offers both, but to receive both, we must be tested and led through difficult and peculiar circumstances where Christ becomes more to us due to the intensity of the situation. These days are approaching—they are already upon us—and they signal the Lord’s coming.

Blessed is the one who keeps their garments, lest they walk naked.

There are voices in the air, filling men with hope and fear;
There are signals everywhere that the end is drawing near,
There are warnings to prepare, for the King will soon be here;
O it must be the coming of the Lord!
