Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. — 1 Thess 5:23 BSB

A great tidal wave lifts a stranded ship, allowing it to float effortlessly over the bar without the strain of a struggling crew or engines. All the hard labor that couldn't move the ship even an inch is made irrelevant by the heavenly impulse that lifts it.

This is like God’s law of gravitation, where the warmth of the sun’s rays melts a mighty iceberg, which no human force could move, and transforms it into clouds floating high in the sky.

How easy, how powerful, how divine! Beloved, if you have entered into the divine way of holiness, your heart must swell with gratitude. If you haven’t, do you not long for it? Will you not join in the prayer that the very God of peace will sanctify you wholly?
