This is the secret of the deeper life: to be rooted and grounded in love. The fullness of divine love in the heart makes everything easier. It's easy to do what we love, and it’s easy to trust someone we love, especially when we realize how much they love us. Love is also the source of healing. When the tide of love flows through our bodies, it brings strength, and the love of our Lord becomes a constant source of youth and renewal in our physical being.

The secret of love is simple: it’s taking the heart of Jesus for our own and relying on His love for every need—whether in our relationship with God or with others. It’s a beautiful thing to think, "I will take the heart of Jesus toward them and love them as He does." Then we can love even those who seem unworthy when we see them through the light of His love and hope, as they could be, not as they are now.
