The Safest Place

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. — John 10:28 BSB

We believe in the eternal security of believers. First, because we belong to Christ, and He will never lose the sheep He bought with His blood and received from the Father.

Second, because He gives us eternal life, and if it’s eternal, it truly lasts forever. There’s no end to heaven, hell, or God. If spiritual life could die, it wouldn’t be eternal life, and that alone makes it impossible for it to end.

Also, the Lord explicitly says, “They will never perish.” As long as words mean what they say, this guarantees that believers will not perish. Even the most stubborn unbelief can’t twist the meaning of this promise.

And to make it even clearer, He declares that His people are in His hand, and He defies all enemies to snatch them out of it. Surely, this is something even the devil himself cannot do. We are safe in the almighty Savior’s grasp. Let us let go of our fears and misplaced confidence and find peace in the protective hands of the Redeemer.
