A Staircase to Heaven

Then He declared, “Truly, truly, I tell you, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” — John 1:51 BSB

This truth is clear to us even now: heaven is open. Jesus has opened the way for all believers. We can glimpse the place of mystery and glory because He has revealed it to us. And soon, we will enter, for He is the way.

Now we understand Jacob’s dream of the ladder. There’s a divine exchange between heaven and earth—our prayers go up, and answers come down through Jesus, our Mediator. We see this ladder when we see Jesus. In Him, a stairway of light gives us access to God’s throne. Let’s use this ladder, sending up our prayers and receiving God’s blessings. We can live like the angels themselves when we climb up to heaven in prayer and come down with gifts of grace to share with others.

What Jacob saw in a dream can be our reality today. Every hour, we can climb this ladder in communion with God and descend to serve others. This is Your promise, Lord Jesus—let us see it fulfilled with joy.
