Shine as Many Stars

Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever. — Dan 12:3 BSB

This is a wake-up call! To be wise is a noble pursuit, and here it refers to divine wisdom, the kind that only God Himself can bestow. Oh, to know myself, to know my God, and to know my Savior! May I be divinely taught so that I may live out heavenly truth and walk in the light of it. Is my life a wise one? Am I seeking the right things? Am I living in a way that I will be proud of when I look back at the end of my life? Only such wisdom can secure for me eternal brightness, like the light of the sunlit skies above.

To win souls for God is a glorious accomplishment. I need wisdom if I am to bring even one person to righteousness, let alone many. Oh, for the knowledge of God, of humanity, of His Word, and of Christ, so that I may help convert others and lead them to righteousness! I would dedicate my life to this task and not rest until it is done. This would be better than winning earthly honors—it would make me a shining star, a star that shines forever and ever. Lord, awaken my soul and quicken me to do Your work!
