True Walking Posture

He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. — Prov 10:9 BSB

His progress may be slow, but it is steady. Those who rush to get rich often find themselves guilty of wrongdoing and insecurity, but steady perseverance in doing what is right may not always bring wealth, but it will certainly bring peace. When we act with integrity, it’s like walking on solid rock, knowing every step is firm and secure. On the other hand, success achieved through shady deals will always be shaky and uncertain, leaving a person in constant fear that the truth will catch up to them, and their ill-gotten gains will condemn them.

Let’s stay committed to truth and righteousness. By God’s grace, let’s follow the example of our Lord, in whom no deceit was ever found. Let’s not be afraid of being poor or looked down upon. Never, under any circumstances, should we do what our conscience cannot defend. If we lose inner peace, we lose something far more valuable than money. But if we stay on God’s path and never violate our conscience, we will be secure no matter what. Who can harm us if we are committed to doing good? Even if fools think us foolish for holding to our integrity, in the place where judgment is infallible, we will be approved.
