He of Tender Conscience
I will save My flock, and they will no longer be prey. I will judge between one sheep and another. — Ezek 34:22 BSB
Some people become proud and unkind when they are prosperous and strong. They treat the weak poorly, which is a serious sin and causes a lot of pain. Those harsh pushes with side and shoulder, the way they shove the sick aside, are a source of offense among believers. The Lord takes note of these proud and unkind actions, and He is deeply angered by them, because He loves the weak.
Are you someone who feels despised? Are you a mourner in Zion, criticized for having a sensitive conscience? Do your fellow believers judge you unfairly? Don’t hold a grudge against them, and especially don’t retaliate. Leave the matter in the Lord’s hands—He is the true Judge. Why would we want to take over His role? He will judge with more fairness than we ever could, and His timing is perfect. We don’t need to rush things. Those who oppress others with hardness of heart should be afraid. Even if they get away with it for now, every proud word and action is noticed by God, and they will have to answer for it one day.
Be patient, my soul! Be patient! The Lord knows your sorrow. Jesus has compassion for you!
