Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; all that is within me, bless His holy name. — Ps 103:1 BSB
Every part of our being should join in praising God. Our praise shouldn’t be a solo or a duet but a full chorus—our feelings, affections, thoughts, desires, and actions all united in worship.
Some praise with their voices, but their hearts are not involved. Others worship intellectually, but their emotions are untouched. Some offer emotional praise, but their will and conscience aren’t engaged—they feel good but don’t follow through with obedience. People may sing about missions yet give nothing to the cause, or sing about consecration while living for themselves. True praise to God involves every part of us—enthusiastic, heartfelt, and practical worship, with all that’s within us joining in the song of praise.
