November 30

So Peter got up and went with them. On his arrival, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood around him, weeping and showing him the tunics and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them. — Acts 9:39 BSB

Many people go unappreciated while they’re alive. They live quietly, serving and loving those around them, without seeking recognition or praise. They’re ordinary people, often overlooked as they go about their daily lives.

But one day, they’re no longer there. Their work is finished, and they are gone. It’s only then, in their absence, that people begin to realize how much they were loved, and how deeply their contributions mattered. In the silence left behind, their true worth is finally understood.
