Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. — Matt 6:34 BSB

One reason our Lord gives for not worrying about the future is that the future is not our concern. Each day brings its own duties, needs, trials, and temptations—and God provides strength for that day alone. We must not carry the burdens of tomorrow into today, for our strength is sufficient only for the present. God won’t give us more strength than we need just to accommodate our worries about the future.

So, the lesson is clear: keep each day separate and focus on it alone. Do today’s duties, face today’s temptations, and don’t weaken yourself by worrying about things you can neither see nor understand. When tomorrow arrives, it will bring its own strength. “As your days, so shall your strength be.” Deuteronomy 33:25
