Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. — 1 John 3:2 BSB

Think of the potential of every human being, as revealed through Christianity. You know what Christ says about the future for all who believe in Him—but have you really considered it?

Have you thought about the word “eternity” as it applies to your own life? Jesus promises eternal life, which doesn’t mean just endless existence, but also endless growth, development, and progress. The New Testament tells us that we now only know in part, but one day we will know fully. It also speaks of wondrous moral development in our lives.

There is a glory in the Christian soul that has not yet been revealed. The Bible shows us a glimpse of this future: “We shall be like Him!” I cannot fully explain that; it is beyond human understanding. But it surely speaks of incredible possibilities for every believer. This is the future for anyone who unites their life with Christ.
