“If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in the land of Egypt!” they said. “There we sat by pots of meat and ate our fill of bread, but you have brought us into this desert to starve this whole assembly to death!” — Exod 16:3 BSB
It’s a sad thing when we allow life’s disappointments to make us despondent! The goal of Christian living isn’t to avoid hardship but to keep a sweet spirit through it all.
Hardships, losses, and sorrows are inevitable. But we must strive to maintain a heart full of trust and hope through all of these experiences. Then, when the adversity passes, we will emerge not only unharmed but with an even richer life, deeper beauty, and greater joy! The secret to such victorious living is an unshakable trust in God.
