When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing. — Acts 8:39 BSB
The man did not stop his journey and return to be with the other Christians once he became a believer. He continued on his way, back to his country and his business, but with a new joy in his heart. Part of his duty as a new Christian was to take the knowledge of Christ back to the people he had lived among, sharing with them the blessings he had received.
This teaches us that a new Christian is not necessarily called to leave their work. If their occupation is honest and good, they should remain in it, bringing Christ with them. If a carpenter becomes a Christian, he continues as a carpenter—only now, with Christ in his heart.
Being a Christian brings joy. This man went on his way rejoicing. His heart was filled with song. As Christians, we continue our daily work, but our hearts sing, lightening our burdens and giving joy to those around us.
