For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. — Jer 29:11 BSB
It is better that we don’t know our future. If we did, we might mess up God’s plan for our lives. If we could see tomorrow and know the troubles it brings, we might try to avoid them, even though those troubles are God’s way of leading us to new blessings. God’s thoughts for us are always filled with love, goodness, and growth, but sometimes the path to the heights goes through dark valleys or along rough roads. Skipping the hard part would mean missing out on reaching the heights. So, it’s better to walk with God, not knowing the way ourselves, than to see the path and choose for ourselves. God’s way for us is always better than our own.
