It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. — 1 Cor 1:30 BSB

Consider the heavenly blessings for those who are united with the Son of God. Everything necessary for their salvation and sanctification has been provided—God has not withheld a single blessing that will be for their eternal good.

Picture them as foolish, ignorant, unsure of the way, troubled by countless difficulties, harassed by sin, tempted by Satan, and far off on the sea. How will they reach the heavenly shore? By an infinite act of sovereign love, God has made His dear Son their “wisdom,” ensuring that none will err fatally. None will miss the road for lack of divine guidance. Christ, their glorious Head, is in heaven, but He is made wisdom for them on earth, leading them to their heavenly inheritance. He opens His Word to their hearts, sends a ray of light into their souls, illuminates the sacred page, and guides their feet in truth and peace. If they stray, He brings them back; if they stumble, He raises them up. Whatever difficulties arise, sooner or later, some gracious guidance or heavenly direction will come from His divine majesty. Thus, even the wayfaring person, though a fool, does not err on the path of life, for the Lord, their wisdom, safely leads them until they stand before His face in glory.
