And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you. — 1 Pet 5:10 BSB

If "the God of all grace" has truly called you to His eternal glory—if He has touched your heart with His blessed hand—remember that you must walk, from start to finish, on a path of suffering. The whole journey, to some degree, is one of tribulation. As you walk this path, suffering from sin, Satan, the world, and the evil in your own heart, it's all meant to bring you closer to "the God of all grace." In His time, He will make you strong, firm, and steadfast. When you've passed through these trials, you'll see God's hand in everything, and you’ll praise Him for it all. You'll realize how good it was to have been afflicted and to have walked this painful path, because by suffering with Christ Jesus, you will share in His eternal glory.
