God's Unfailing Love

Even to your old age, I will be the same, and I will bear you up when you turn gray. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will sustain you and deliver you. — Isa 46:4 BSB

What a remarkable promise this is, especially in times of uncertainty, when we fear what the future may hold!

Will it bring disease, poverty, suffering, or loss? We cannot know, but we can turn to God with confidence. He knows exactly what we can bear, for He has made us: “I have made, and I will bear; I will carry you, and I will deliver you.”

Even into old age! The hair may turn silver, the strength may fade, and we may be left alone after our loved ones have passed on, but God promises, “Even to your old age, I will carry you.” He is faithful. He has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Therefore, with good courage, we can say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.”

Prayer

O God, our Father, we are Yours, and we trust in Your enduring mercy. Thank You for Your faithfulness! Amen.
