Christ's Intercession for the Tempted

The Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desire to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not. — Luke 22:31-32

Though faint my prayers, and cold my love
My stedfast hope shall not remove,
While Jesus intercedes above.

Against me earth and hell combine;
But on my side is power Divine;
Jesus is all, and he is mine.
