Temptations Permitted by God

The Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. — Job 1:12

Still thine integrity hold fast,
The tempter’s counsel spurn,
Hope against hope, and God at last,
Will for thy help return.
