Christ the Righteousness of the Believer

This is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord our righteousness. — Jer 23:6

Saviour divine, we know thy name,
And in that name we trust;
Thou art the Lord our righteousness,
Thou art thine Israel’s boast.

That spotless robe which thou has wrought,
Shall clothe us all around,
Nor by the piercing eye of God
One blemish shall be found.
