Today’s Quote
God's promises are the foundation of our prayers.
— Matthew Henry
Spurgeon’s Daily Help
It’s easy to pray when our desires are based on God’s promises. How could He, who gave the promise, refuse to keep it? God, who never lies, cannot go back on His word. He must bless His Son because His covenant obligates Him to do so. Whatever the Spirit prompts us to ask for Jesus, God has already decreed
to give. So, when you pray for Christ’s kingdom, look forward to the coming day when the Crucified One will be crowned where He was once rejected.

Look at a pool of still water—it becomes covered in weeds, stagnant and dirty. But let it flow down a stream, splashing over stones, and it becomes alive and pure, growing cleaner as it moves. The same is true for us: holy activity and progress are essential
for spiritual purity.
