Every mercy from God’s hand is a fresh reason for praise.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help

“You crown the year with your goodness.” —Psalm 65:11. All year long, every hour of every day, God blesses us richly. Whether we’re awake or asleep, his mercy is with us. The sun may leave us with darkness, but God never stops shining his love on his children. Like a river, his love flows continuously,

never running dry. Like the air that surrounds us and sustains life, God's goodness envelops all his creatures, allowing them to live and thrive in it.

If believers were lost, God would lose more than they would, because his glory would be tarnished. If I, as one of his sheep, were lost, I would certainly lose a lot, but the Good Shepherd would lose even more, for I belong to him. If I am part of Christ’s

body and I’m lost, then my Head, Christ, is also at a loss because his body is no longer whole. The church is described as “the fullness of him who fills everything in every way,” and Jesus would not be complete if even the least of his members were lost.
