The Lord is generous by nature; He delights in giving. His gifts are immeasurably valuable and are given as freely as the sunlight. He gives grace to His chosen because He wants to, to the redeemed because of His covenant, to those who are called because of His promise, to believers because they seek

it, and to sinners because they need it. He gives grace abundantly, timely, consistently, readily, and sovereignly—adding to the value of the blessing by the way He gives it. Dear reader, how blessed it is, as the years pass and the leaves begin to fall again, to hold onto this unfading promise: "The Lord will give grace."

Usually, second thoughts are the best, but that’s not the case when it comes to serving our Lord. The first promptings of love, like the first light of dawn, are unmatched in beauty and freshness. Good deeds are best done immediately, without a second

thought. "I did not consult with anyone," said the apostle. If it’s the right thing to do and it’s for Jesus, then don’t hesitate.
