Today’s Verse
Isaiah 45:19
I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. (KJV)
I have not spoken in secret, from a place in a land of darkness. I did not say to the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a wasteland.’ I, the LORD, speak the truth; I say what is right. (BSB)

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
"I did not say the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain.’" — Isaiah 45:19
God has clearly promised that He will listen to the prayers of those who call on Him, and this promise cannot be broken. He has spoken truthfully and righteously, leaving no room for doubt. God’s words are clear and straightforward:
"Ask, and you will receive." So, believe this solid truth, dear one—your prayers will be heard. Never, even in the deepest corners of eternity, has God told anyone, "Seek Me in vain."

I know what it’s like to go through intense depression. There have been moments when life seemed utterly worthless, but even then, I had peace about the bigger picture. The surface of the mind can be stormy, yet deep down, in the core of our being, everything
remains calm. Just like how earthquakes can shake the earth, but the planet continues its steady path, the same holds true for a believer’s soul.
