We can’t refuse to rely on God because we think we’re too insignificant; nothing is too small for God’s attention. The wonders seen through a microscope are just as amazing as those seen through a telescope. We can’t limit God in one area any more than in another. He will demonstrate His divine skill
in a person’s life just as much as in the orbit of a planet.
There are witnesses who can testify to God’s intervention on behalf of those who trust Him. Anyone can test this principle in their own life, and it’s noteworthy that no one who has done so has ever been disappointed.

Boasting is a sure sign of impending failure. Even Goliath, the giant, had barely finished boasting before his proud forehead hit the dust. Banish pride from your soul; it’s foolish and the source of all other foolishness. It’s like a poisonous insect
that corrupts everything it touches, no matter how beautiful its wings may be. Pride reveals the emptiness of its owner. The jewel of grace is kept in the casket of humility. Gilded wood floats, but solid gold sinks.
