Today’s Quote

To be almost saved is to be altogether lost! There are many in Hell who once were almost saved but who are now altogether damned! Think of that, you who are not far from the Kingdom. It is being in the Kingdom that saves the soul, not being near the Kingdom.

— Charles Spurgeon

Spurgeon’s Daily Help

In a wheel, there’s one part that never turns—it’s the axle. In God’s providence, there’s an axle that never moves. Christian, here’s a comforting thought for you! Your situation is always changing: sometimes you’re uplifted, and sometimes you’re brought low. But there’s an unchanging point in your life.

What is that axle? What’s the pivot on which everything else turns? It’s the axle of God’s everlasting love for His covenant people. The outside of the wheel may change, but the center remains fixed. Everything else may move, but God’s love never does; it’s the axle of the wheel, and it will endure.
