Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. — 1 John 3:2 BSB

We are children of God. We are not merely called sons of God or legally declared as such—we truly are children of God, because we have received His life and nature. This makes us the very brothers and sisters of our Lord, not only in His human nature but also in His divine relationship. Therefore, He is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters. He grants us the right to this title and makes us worthy of it. He does not place us in a position we are unqualified for; He gives us a nature fitting for our glorious status. As He looks upon us in our complete and glorious transformation, reflecting His own likeness and shining with the Father's glory, He will have no reason to be ashamed of us. Even now, He is pleased to acknowledge us before the universe and call us His brothers and sisters in the presence of all of heaven and earth. Oh, how this elevates even the humblest saint! How little the misunderstandings of the world matter if He is not ashamed to call us His family.

So let us go out today and represent His royal family.
