Spurgeon’s Daily Help
It’s been well said, “Nothing is easier than to doubt. A person with moderate ability or knowledge can doubt more than the wisest people believe.” Faith requires knowledge because it’s an intelligent grace that justifies itself, but doubt doesn’t need to explain itself; a bold attitude and a loud voice
are enough. The height of unbelief is to know nothing. What is that but making ignorance into a god?
A person may drift into agnosticism without even realizing it, but to believe is to be fully alive. Those who think faith is for the childish need to grow up a lot before they can even test their own theory.

If I find myself growing in God’s garden, even if I’m the smallest plant there, it’s such a blessing just to be in the garden at all—I, who was once a wild, unruly weed in the wilderness—that I have no doubt God will water me when I need it, and He will
care for me until I’m fully grown. Didn’t He say of every plant in His garden, “I will water it every moment”?
