Today’s Verse
Nahum 1:3
The LORD [is] slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit [the wicked]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet. (KJV)
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. His path is in the whirlwind and storm, and clouds are the dust beneath His feet. (BSB)

The power of God is a terror to His enemies but a comfort to His people.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
"The Lord is slow to anger and mighty in power," but His great power brings us mercy. Dear reader, how are you today? Can you, with humble faith, look to Jesus and say, "You are my substitute, my rock, my trust"? If so, don’t be afraid of God’s power; for now that you’re forgiven and accepted, and now
that by faith you’ve found refuge in Christ, God’s power should no longer scare you, just as the sword and shield of a warrior don’t scare those he loves. Instead, rejoice that the One who is "mighty in power" is your Father and Friend.

You’ll only need a boat when you get to the river. God will give you the grace you need when it’s time to die. The last enemy will be defeated, but not until the end. Today, there are plenty of other enemies to fight, so you can leave that one for later.
We don’t know the exact time of our death, so there’s no point in guessing. Our wisdom lies in being good soldiers of Jesus Christ, focusing on what each day requires.

The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will certainly not allow the wicked to go unpunished. He marches out in the whirlwind and the raging storm; dark storm clouds billow like dust under his feet. (NET)
