We’d be better teachers of others and less likely to be swayed by every new teaching if we sought to understand the Word of God more intelligently. Since the Holy Spirit, who authored the Scriptures, is the only one who can truly enlighten us to understand them, we should constantly ask for His teaching

and guidance into all truth. So, if you desire to be “filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding” for your own benefit and for others, remember that prayer is your best tool for studying. You can push through anything with the power of prayer.

“Our dying friends remind us of our mortality, dampening our thoughtless enthusiasm, making us realize that these fleeting things aren’t worth living for, and that, as others pass away, so will we.” Their passing helps loosen our grip on this world and

urges us to look towards the world to come. There are few sermons as powerful as the deaths of our loved ones; they remind us of Heaven and show us the way.
