Spurgeon’s Daily Help
“He first found his own brother Simon.” Let your faith start at home; make sure to show the sweetest fruits of your spiritual life and testimony within your own family. You may not have much talent yourself, but you could be the one who leads someone to Christ who will become a great servant of God.
Dear friend, you have no idea what potential lies within you. You might speak a word to a child, and in that child could be a noble heart that will inspire the Christian church in the future. Andrew had only two talents, but he found Peter. Go and do likewise.

The Spurgeon Birthday Book

In the Vatican, we saw the famous statue of the boy pulling a thorn from his foot. He was doing this the first time we saw him, and three years later, he was still trying to remove that thorn. Fifty years from now, he’ll be in the same position.
He’s
carved in marble, so he’s excused for not making progress. But what can we say about living people who, year after year, are stuck on imaginary difficulties and never start their journey to Heaven?
