We don’t see Him as clearly as we’d like; we don’t fully grasp the height and depth of His love, but we are sure that He’s too good to take back the gift He’s given to a trembling soul. If we have faith as small as a mustard seed, salvation is ours, now and forever. If we can’t hold the Lord in our arms

like Simeon, or rest our heads on His chest like John, even if we only dare to reach out in the crowd to touch the hem of His garment, we are made whole. Take courage, timid one! Your faith has saved you; go in peace. “Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God.”

If someone is thirsty, a rope and a bucket aren’t much use on their own, but if there’s a well nearby, those are exactly what’s needed to draw water. Faith is the bucket that allows us to draw water from the wells of salvation and drink to our heart’s

content. Use your faith now, and drink from the well of Bethlehem that Jesus has filled for you.
