Spurgeon’s Daily Help
If I once wandered on that mountain top and Jesus climbed up, caught me, and carried me home on His shoulders, I cannot and dare not doubt that He is my Shepherd. If I had belonged to someone else, they wouldn’t have sought me out. But the fact that He did seek me out tells me He must be my Shepherd.
If I could trace my rescue to the hand of another, I might think that someone else was my shepherd. But since it was God who saved me, I know that the Lord is my Shepherd because He found me and delivered me.

April 14
Here, my best joys are temporary; my beautiful gardens fade, my sweetest drinks are emptied, my songs of joy fall silent, my pleasant days turn to night, and the high tides of my happiness ebb into sorrow. But in Heaven, everything is eternal: the harp
never rusts, the crown never withers, the eye never dims, the voice never falters, the heart never wavers, and the whole being is immersed in infinite delight.
