And you are to drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there. — 1 Kgs 17:4 BSB

God always finds a way to provide for His children.

Everything is at His command. The rivers, the birds, the animals, the wings of ravens, the waves of the sea—every creature and every element belongs to Him and is ready to obey Him.

Some people struggle with the idea of miracles, wondering how God can interrupt the natural order to help one of His children. But when we realize how completely everything is under God’s control, it becomes easy to believe that miracles are possible.

Maybe none of us have ever been fed by ravens like Elijah, but in countless other marvelous ways, God provides for us. Trains carry food across continents, and ships transport it around the world to our doorsteps. Today, we are so knowledgeable and “scientific” that we often miss the perfect peace that comes from trusting God’s promises.
