It has come to our attention that some went out from us without our authorization and unsettled you, troubling your minds by what they said. — Acts 15:24 BSB

Some people are always stirring up trouble with their words, just like those at Antioch. There are still contentious individuals who thrive on picking fights.

Some claim to love studying the Bible, but they're really just looking to argue over disputed passages. Those who teach such Christians should handle them with gentleness and patience. Christ's teachings don't place unnecessary burdens on His followers.

There are essential truths that should be clearly stated, and non-essentials that should not be forced on others.

A well-known minister once said that the verse, "Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God," sums up what God requires. Surely we shouldn't demand more of others than God does!
