for she is more profitable than silver, and her gain is better than fine gold. — Prov 3:14 BSB

There’s something that gives better returns than silver or gold in the world’s markets. It’s better to be wise than to be rich. Wisdom, when rightly used, yields greater and more lasting rewards than money ever could. Wisdom grows and deepens in the lives of those who possess it.

Take the wisdom of trusting God—experience will grow your trust. What begins as timid faith today will develop into strong confidence tomorrow.

Or consider the wisdom of loving others. When you start practicing love, your heart expands, and you gain more skill in helping others. Many people, though starting from ordinary lives, have become incredibly helpful just by beginning small acts of love. A sailor boy once brought home a little flower from a foreign land for his mother, and from that small kindness, all the fuchsias in England grew.
