When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” — Luke 2:15 BSB
Look at the simple faith of the shepherds. They didn’t question or doubt. They didn’t say, “Let’s go see if this is true,” but instead, “Let’s go see this thing that has happened.” We tend to doubt too much and want more proof, but it’s better to trust without hesitation and seek what God has promised.
The shepherds were so sure that they would find the baby in a manger that they rushed off immediately. It would be good if we had the same kind of simple, eager faith. And just as they found Mary, Joseph, and the baby, we will find God’s promises to be true if we trust and seek them with all our hearts.
