Morning

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was traveling before them during the three days’ journey, to find a resting place for them. — Num 10:33 NET

You determine my destiny!—He picked out for us a special land.—Lord, lead me in your righteousness … remove the obstacles in the way in which you are guiding me!—Commit your future to the Lord! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf.—Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.—You will hear a word spoken behind you, saying, “This is the correct way, walk in it,” whether you are heading to the right or the left.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water.—As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on his faithful followers. For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay.—“For the unconverted pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.”—Casting all your cares on him because he cares for you.

Evening

“Rabbi” (which is translated Teacher), “where are you staying?” Jesus answered, “Come and you will see.” — John 1:38-39 NET

“There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too.”—“I will grant the one who conquers permission to sit with me on my throne.”

For this is what the high and exalted one says, the one who rules forever, whose name is holy: “I dwell in an exalted and holy place, but also with the discouraged and humiliated, in order to cheer up the humiliated and to encourage the discouraged.”

“Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with me.”

“Remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”—How precious is your loyal love, O God! The human race finds shelter under your wings.
