Whereas you have been forsaken and despised, with no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, a joy from age to age. — Isa 60:15 BSB
God loves to take the most broken and lost people and turn them into magnificent memorials of His redeeming love and power. He delights in taking those who have been the worst victims of Satan’s attacks and using them as testimonies to His infinite mercy and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit.
He also loves to take the most difficult and hostile parts of our lives and transform them, so that we become the opposite of what we once were.
The gentlest souls are often formed from those who were once the most strong-willed and turbulent. The greatest faith is often born from a wilderness of doubt and fear. And the deepest love is often drawn from hearts once hardened by hate and selfishness.
God’s grace is powerful enough to overcome the most difficult personalities and the most unfavorable circumstances. It is His glory to turn a curse into a blessing, showing all creation that where sin abounded, grace abounded even more.
