If you want power, you must compress it. It’s the contained steam that drives the engine. A small amount of gunpowder spread flat will only make a flash, but when confined in a gun, it sends a ball to its destination. If you want to carry an electric current, you must insulate it. Stand a man on a glass platform, connect him to a battery, and he will be filled with electricity. But if he steps off the glass and touches the ground, he loses power.

We must be enclosed by His everlasting covenant—that’s what holds us and keeps us from falling. He will be a wall of fire around us. He will come Himself and surround us with His glory, just as He did with the Shekinah in the past. He wants us enclosed by a distinct act of consecration, dedicated wholly to Him. Are you enclosed by His fences, His commandments, His promises, His covenant? Is your heart fully for the Lord?

If not, come to Him now. Let Him separate you from everything that drains your life, and let Him draw you to Himself, the Life-Giver.
